Interview with Housekeeping Manager Ciska K. from Badhotel Rockanje

Recently, we sat down with Ciska, the Head of Housekeeping at Badhotel Rockanje, to learn about her experience working with 010 Personeel and how our collaboration has helped maintain the hotel’s high standards.

Ciska’s Journey at Badhotel Rockanje

Ciska joined Badhotel Rockanje in 2008 as a cleaner, and by 2018, she was promoted to Head of Housekeeping. Over the years, she’s played a vital role in maintaining the hotel’s exceptional cleanliness, overseeing a team that works diligently to create a welcoming environment for every guest.

“I love cleaning, and I take pride in making sure the rooms are perfect,” Ciska says.

A Day in the Life of Ciska: Ciska’s day begins early at 6:30 AM, where she organizes tasks for her team. Once her team arrives, they enjoy a quick coffee before heading out to clean the rooms. Despite the challenges of managing larger rooms due to recent renovations, Ciska and her team work efficiently to meet the hotel’s demands.

“It can be tough, but we’ve got a solid team, and we get the job done,” she adds.

The Role of 010 Personeel in Supporting Housekeeping : Since 2020, Badhotel Rockanje has relied on 010 Personeel to provide additional staff for housekeeping. Ciska appreciates how quickly 010 Personeel responds to their needs.

"When we were in urgent need of staff, 010 Personeel was quick to provide skilled workers,” she explains. “The communication is always fast, and that makes a big difference when we’re under time pressure."

One challenge Ciska faces is the language barrier among some of the team members, many of whom are from abroad. "We have a lot of foreign staff, and sometimes the language difference can make communication tricky," she says. "It would be helpful if staff could improve their language skills, particularly in Dutch or English."

At 010 Personeel, we value this feedback and are always looking for ways to improve our services, including helping our staff improve their language proficiency.
